More and white series of river surfing and with the pretty overcast weather, it was the perfect opportunity to make my vision become reality.
In spring, I had the honour to meet my idol, Chris Burkard, which led us to a conversation where he told me that it never gets old to photograph the same location over and over again. To master photography, it’s to take the time to document the same location multiple times because the more you do it, the more authentic that area becomes.

When you know a spot like the back of your hand, your work gets an even bigger meaning. You start to master the story of that specific spot and you will work more on your creativity in order to tell a different story each time.
From a moment of being bored of photographing the same standing wave, I quickly regained my passion for this little spot and decided to work on my creativity.
As a photographer, it’s rare to fall in love with your own series as your mind is always on the search for something new. You shoot a rad photograph, love it for a week and then you are over it and don’t like it anymore. It’s the way our minds work and sometimes, we are little too harsh on ourselves.

It took me a while to publish it, I guess I wanted to take the time to appreciate these images by myself before sharing them to the world, but I am satisfied by the final results. The same spot, a new vibe—that’s what photography should be all about.
